Kia ora e hoa mā,
Ngā mihi o te tau hou Pākehā. Welcome to 2021! We hope you had a wonderful summer and managed some well deserved R&R with loved ones after what was a particularly challenging year for many.
There is no doubt that 2020 brought a range of challenges to the way we go about life and work. It also presented a number of opportunities. One of the stronger trends to emerge was a greater and deeper commitment to sustainability, and not just in the environmental sense.
We think 2021 will be the year that more organisations and their people get back to thinking about their role in topics like diversity, equity and inclusion, social justice, mental health support and community resilience as the pandemic proves we are all more connected than many had previously realised.
Here in Aotearoa we’re already seeing more organisations architecting impact-driven issue leadership, corporate social responsibility issues and community initiatives that intentionally address equity challenges within health, education and economic opportunity.
Will you join them?
We have big plans ahead for this year to help more people create positive impact via their own business activities. We’ve experienced first hand the power of collaboration and co-design and we want to see more people take up the challenge to make a difference within their communities using business as a force for good.
